taxonomites, of the character Topher Brink from Joss Whedon's TV show Dollhouse. Obviously, I do not own the rights to this, but as it is purely for personal use, Mr. Whedon's and Fox Broadcasting Company's rights are not infringed.
He is played by Fran Kranz.
"Machines go ping" because he tells some actives over the phone when they're trying to control an outbreak at Rossum that he has a phalanx of machines that go ping, and they're going to be safe. (and that, in turn, is a reference to a Monty Python sketch)
For the purposes of play, he is taken from the beginning of the episode "Briar Rose", 1x11.
